Tim Leschikar - member of the office-based sales team in Germany since 1 March 2011

Since our Mrs Rittmann is on maternity leave, having given birth to her first child in August, we have had to find a replacement without delay. Tim Leschikar has risen to this challenge and shown that he can fully master this task.
Tim Leschikar studied as an industrial engineer at the University of Karlsruhe, specialising in mechanical engineering.
As part of his final year project, he designed a "clamping system for optimized microfibre processing" and then gained further experience by working in OTEC's engineering design department.
Following this successful start, we wish him all the best for his future career at OTEC.
Thai Care e. V.

In 2010 the proceeds of our Christmas tombola which takes place every year has been donated to the charitable organization Thai Care e. V. which supports needy children in Thailand. The German organization was established in 2010 and is the counterpart to the Thai organization Thai Care. Since 1992 this charity has been helping needy Thai children by improving their upbringing and delivering education and health care. Today there are over 200 children in six different institutions who are dependent on charitable donations.

New trainees since 1 Sep 2010

We are pleased to welcome two new young team members:
Ulrich Renninger has joined our electrical department as an apprentice electrician specialising in automation technology. Initially, this involves familiarising himself with and applying key principles of electrical engineering. By the end of the first year of his apprenticeship, however, he will already be in a position to move into programming and to continue to expand his knowledge in this area over the ensuing two years.
We also welcome Jessica Schiffer, who will gain experience of our business processes by working in all of our commercial departments during the first two years of her training as an industrial management assistant.
She will also spend time in our production and process development departments in order to improve her understanding of these aspects of our work. During the third year of training, she will go on to expand her knowledge still further in those departments which are directly relevant to her exams.
We wish them both a pleasant and rewarding period of training ... and a successful start to their careers.
Anni Bauer a valued member of the Back Office Sales Team for Germany since 2 May 2010

After competing a thorough period of familiarisation in a number of departments, Anni Bauer is already a valuable asset to her colleagues. We are delighted that she has joined our team.
After earning her college entrance qualification, she enrolled on a degree level course in Business Administration at Pforzheim University in April 2004, specialising in market and communication research.
She completed her internship at a major mail order company, working in the purchasing and advertising/marking departments. She also worked in the research department of an international advertising agency in Frankfurt.
She completed her studies in 2009 by passing the required examinations and submitting her dissertation on the topic 'Networked multimedia content: opportunities and threats to and for the technological infrastructure.'
We wish her continued success and hope that she will enjoy her role as a member of our company.
Our Development/Engineering Design Team welcomes a new member

In October 2009 our Development/Engineering Design department welcomed a new employee: we are pleased to have Manuel Tröndle on board in this department.
He has settled in well and clearly feels at home in the OTEC family.
Key facts:
After studying electrical engineering for two terms, he decided to qualify instead in the area of mechanical engineering, taking a degree course at the University of Karlsruhe from 2000 - 2005, specialising in machine tools and combustion engines. He came into contact with OTEC during the course of his work as a research assistant at the Institute for Production Engineering (WBK) in Karlsruhe, where he worked on the flexible infeed of microcomponents with piezoelectronic vibrating conveyors.
The Development/Engineering Design department is delighted to have the future holder of a doctorate on board and is sure to benefit from his wealth of innovative ideas and insights.
From a personal point of view, too, it is a pleasure to have as a member of our team an enthusiastic Salsa dancer who also enjoys playing the piano and swimming a few lengths of the pool.
